After left a life of suburb that leading with the crazy family, Amélie (Audrey Tautou) moves to a neighborhood named Montmartre and started to work as a waitress. One day she founds a box hidden in her flat, thinking could belong to the old tenant, she decided to seek him and up founding Dominique (Maurice Bénichou). After she saw him crying of hapiness she decided to help, with small and interesting acts, another people. But she forgets to help herself.
